The History of The Hill

The Hill at Cobb Lake community began as part of the massive farm owned by Victor Akin, a prominent northern Colorado livestock producer and farmer. Victor received his first piece of ground from his father at age 16, and over his life amassed two full sections of land (3000 acres) that included both Hinkley and Cobb Lakes.

Today, Victor’s vision lives on, as the sixth generation of his family, led by Chris Schnoor, who is still very involved at The Hill, and lives and works on part of the original farm southwest of the development, farming some of the open space.
